Hello there! My name is Joy, and you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the world: Bumble Brook.
I have always loved children, and I have always wanted to be a champion for the little hearts. For so long, that meant focusing my time and energy on getting my bachelor’s degree, and then my teaching credential. I became a first grade teacher in 2013, and in 2014, I switched to kindergarten. I loved teaching so much, but decided to become a stay at home mom when I gave birth to my son. It was when he was a year old that I turned back to sewing.
Bumble Brook is an ongoing project to make items that encourage imaginative play not only in little ones, but the bigs, as well. It is such a great way for me to combine my love of making things with my love of children. I hope that any item you receive from me can contribute to a world of imagination, fun, and laughter.
